How Do I Purchase a JDM Car?

- Purchase a vehicle directly from available inventory using a bank transfer
- Purchase available inventory through online checkout
- Request assistance bidding on Japanese vehicle auctions
Once payment is completed, we begin the export process and keep you informed at each stage.
What Happens After I Purchase a Car?
After a vehicle is purchased, the following steps take place:
- The vehicle is deregistered in Japan
- Export documentation is prepared
- Shipping is booked with a freight carrier
- The vehicle is loaded and shipped
- A Bill of Lading is issued
Once the vehicle arrives at the destination port, you’ll need to work with a licensed import broker to complete customs clearance and pickup.
Can Any Car Be Imported to the USA, Puerto Rico, or Canada?
Import eligibility depends on the destination country:
- United States & Puerto Rico: Vehicles must be 25 years or older based on the manufacture date shown on the VIN
- Canada: Vehicles must be 15 years or older based on the VIN manufacture date
If a vehicle is not yet eligible, storage in Japan can be arranged until it becomes import-legal.
How Much Does It Cost to Ship a JDM Car?
Shipping costs vary depending on several factors, including:
